When you create an account on FamilyFuel, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). As you use the app, we store your dietary preferences, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and other content you create.
We use your information to:
FamilyFuel integrates with third-party APIs to provide recipe data, nutritional information, food databases, and AI-powered features. When you use these features, relevant data (such as search queries and ingredient lists) may be sent to these services. We do not share your personal account information (name, email) with these services.
Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We use JWT tokens for authentication and HTTPS for data in transit. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Within a family group, members can see shared meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists. Your personal dietary preferences and goals are aggregated anonymously within your family for meal planning purposes.
You may access, update, or delete your account data at any time through the app settings. If you wish to have all your data permanently deleted, please contact the site administrator.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the application.
